I wanted to begin with the color combination and as I was setting up I thought of a large piece (30" X 24"), "Botanical Three" and these two are were created using the inspiration of that piece and the color combination of this week's Inspiration photograph.

Week 4 Inspiration ~ Winter Evening

SOLD

"Encircle" is the second piece I created from using this weeks inspiration photograph, "Winter Evening". I wanted to capture the cobalt blue color in this piece, as I did in, "Magic in the Air", and my focus was on the full moon being cradled by the tree branches.

SOLD

This is one of three inspirational pieces I did for this week, however, I'm still in the midst of finishing up the third. The one thing I loved about the photograph was the way moon appeared to be hanging from the tree like an ornament or a Chinese lantern. This was the end result of that concept.

I was just thinking about the Winter. The very first thought came to my mind this december is Snow. So i painted the moon drenching in snow sticked tree branches.

This week I was inspired by 2 things - the beautiful photograph and Dana Marie's small pendant paintings. My pendant is an original, acrylic painting on wood and measures 1 inch in diameter (about the size of a Quarter). I actually bought the little wood discs months ago and never got around to painting on them till now. I've attached a silver plated bail and the pendant comes with a black cord.

Week 2 Inspiration ~ Sunflowers

SOLD
Okay, like you Maria...I really wanted to get something up, but unfortunately I don't have anything new. I did painting sunflowers to post, however, I really didn't like how they turned out, so I am posting "Sunflowers" a bamboo piece I painted in June.

Well, I was going to paint something new, but time ran away with me. I do love sunflowers so much, and I thought I'd share a picture I painted last year if you don't mind. It was during my "Grandma Moses" phase as my friends called it. :)

This is called Max's Place. The cat on the fence is Max. :) Maria
